Product features:
Under the same head, its overcurrent capacity is larger than that of the mixed flow, and the cavitation performance is worse than that of the mixed flow. According to whether the rotor blades can rotate during operation, they can be divided into two types: axial flow propeller type and axial flow fixed type propeller type.
The blades of the axial-flow fixed-blade turbine are fixed on the rotor body. The blade placement angle cannot be changed during operation, and the efficiency curve is steep. It is suitable for power plants with small load changes or adjustable unit operating capacity to adapt to load changes. Advantages: simple structure and low cost. Disadvantages: Efficiency degrades sharply when deviating from design conditions. According to its characteristics, it is generally used in hydropower stations with small output, low head and small head change.
The axial-flow rotary turbine was invented by the Austrian engineer Kaplan in 1920, so it is also known as the Kaplan turbine. The runner blades are generally operated by a hydraulic relay mounted in the rotor body, and can be rotated according to the head and load changes to maintain an optimal fit between the movable vane corners and the vane corners, thereby improving the average efficiency. The maximum efficiency of the turbine has exceeded 94%. However, such a turbine needs a mechanism for operating the blades to rotate, and thus the structure is complicated and the cost is high, and is generally used for large and medium-sized hydropower stations with large variations in head and output.
The axial flow turbine runner mainly comprises three parts: a runner vane, a runner hub and a drain cone.
