Corundum mullite brick refers to a high alumina refractory product composed of the main crystal phases of corundum and mullite. The presence of low melting point oxide impurities can reduce its high-temperature performance. The pure mullite raw material synthesized from industrial alumina powder and pure clay, bauxite or silica should have as low an alkali metal oxide content as possible. Products made from mullite aggregate have good thermal shock resistance but slightly lower corrosion resistance, while products made from corundum sand aggregate have good corrosion resistance but slightly lower thermal shock resistance.
Corundum mullite ceramic is a ceramic material composed of main crystal phases of corundum and mullite. It has the characteristics of high mechanical strength and good insulation performance. Its main raw materials include alumina, kaolin, and a small amount of additives. It is fired at high temperatures using conventional ceramic techniques. This material is widely used in the manufacture of various types of high-voltage insulators, bushings, high-voltage switches, and other device components.
