The SN74HC573NSR is designed for high-speed memory address latching and other memory applications requiring a latch with low power consumption. The device features a transparent latch where the outputs (Q0-Q7) follow the data inputs (D0-D7) as long as the latch enable (LE) is high. When LE is low, the last data present on the inputs before LE transitions to low is latched and remains on the outputs until LE is high again. The output enable (OE) controls the state of the outputs, allowing them to be in a high-impedance state when OE is high, which is useful for bus-oriented applications.
