IEC 60068-2-75 / 1450g/ Spring Operated Impact Hammer/ 0.14-1J / 6 Gears Optional
Standard: IEC 60068-2-63, IEC 60068-2-75 test Ehb, IEC 60335-1, IEC 60598-1, IEC 60950, and IEC 60065
Application: This device is intended to test the impact resistance to shell, operating arm, handle, knob, indicator lights and shades of electrical appliance for household or similar purpose, to verify the safety performance and strength of the product.
Test sample: Shell, operating arm, handle, knob, indicator lights and shades Impact Testing Machine
Feature:
1. The impact hammer is composed of three parts:
A. Shell. Includes housing, impact element guide and release mechanism, and parts fixed on these parts.
B. Impact element. Including the hammer, hammer tail and firing handle.
C. Release cone. Impact Testing Machine
2. Working principle
The hammer generate impact energy by the mass and movement of impact element. When pulling the operating handle, release claw stop at the impact element release point, the hammer spring is pressed, when the compression quantity is different, the spring will release the different energy. For multi energy impact hammer, rotate the end cover to select corresponding impact energy. The impact energy was calibrated on calibration facility before delivery. Impact Testing Machine

Table E.1 – Kinetic energy of striking element
Kinetic energy ( E ) just before impact J | Approximate spring compression with spring constant of 2,75 × 103 N/m mm |
0,14 ± 0,014 0,20 ± 0,02 0,35 ± 0,03 0,50 ± 0,04 0,70 ± 0,05 1,00 ± 0,05 | 10 13 17 20 24 28 |
NOTE – The approximate value of the kinetic energy in joules, just before the impact, can be calculated from the following formula: E = 0,5 FC × 1 0 – 3 where F is the force exerted by the hammer spring, when fully compressed, in newtons; C is the compression of the hammer spring, in millimetres The energy stated above is achieved in the horizontal position. |
