Production Information of Inconel Cladding Tube
The superheater, also known as steam superheater, is generally installed at the furnace outlet. Its function is to reheat the saturated steam (generally containing 2% moisture) from the drum to the specified superheating temperature under the condition of constant pressure, so as to meet the needs of production process.
The function of superheater pipe is to absorb heat. Seamless boiler steel pipe or heat-resistant alloy steel pipe is bent into a snake shape, and both ends are welded on the inlet and outlet headers respectively.
In the boiler, superheater is an important high-temperature component. When the superheater tube is in operation, the outside is affected by high-temperature flue gas, and high-pressure steam flows inside. The pipe wall temperature of superheater pipe (i.e. metal temperature) is higher than that of steam, while the pipe wall temperature of steam pipe (i.e. metal temperature) can be approximately regarded as the same as that of superheated steam. The metal of superheater tube and steel pipe is under the condition of high temperature stress, that is, it operates under the condition of creep.
Under this condition, if the quality of the pipe is not qualified, it is easy to lead to the failure of the pipe. Therefore, some manufacturers now choose to weld on the heat conduction pipe to ensure its reliability and improve its service life
Inconel cladding for tube is a cost-effective engineered solution against corrosion/ erosion attacks from combustion products in boilers and from the hot, exhaust flue gas stream in waste heat recovery systems.
Inconel Cladding technique extends the operational life of tubes and waterwall panels, thus avoiding or delaying costly replacements.
The most common problem in surfacing is cracking. The main methods to prevent cracking are as follows
1. Preheat before welding, control interlayer temperature and slow cooling after welding
2. Stress relief heat treatment after welding
3. Avoid multi-layer surfacing and use low hydrogen surfacing electrode
4. If necessary, build up the transition layer between the surfacing layer and the base metal (use the electrode with low carbon equivalent and high toughness)
Attention must be paid to butt welding:
1. According to the use requirements, reasonable selection of surfacing alloy
2. Reduce the dilution ratio of base metal as much as possible
3. Improve productivity
4. It is expected that the hardfacing metal and base metal have similar expansion coefficient and phase transformation temperature
