High-Power common-mode inductance T1515 Vertical flat wire
Product performance:
The common mode inductor is essentially a two-way filter: on the one hand, it needs to filter out the common mode electromagnetic interference on the signal line, and on the other hand, it must suppress itself from emitting electromagnetic interference, so as to avoid affecting the normal operation of other electronic devices in the same electromagnetic environment.
For the ideal inductor model, when the coil is wound, all the magnetic flux is concentrated in the center of the coil. However, under normal circumstances, the toroidal coil will not be fully wound, or the winding is not tightly wound, which will cause leakage of magnetic flux. Common mode inductors have two windings with a considerable gap between them, which creates flux leakage and creates differential mode inductors. Therefore, common mode inductors generally also have a certain ability to attenuate differential mode interference.
In filter design, we can also take advantage of leakage inductance. For example, in an ordinary filter, only one common mode inductor is installed, and the leakage inductance of the common mode inductor is used to generate an appropriate amount of differential mode inductance, which can suppress the differential mode current. Sometimes, it is necessary to artificially increase the leakage inductance of the common mode choke coil and increase the differential mode inductance to achieve a better filtering effect.
