How do we solve vibration and noise problems in mechanical equipment? The answer is to use air springs.
The air spring is a spring made by filling a retractable airtight container with compressed air and utilizing the elastic force of the air. Its working principle is to fill the closed pressure cylinder with inert gas or oil-gas mixture, so that the pressure in the cavity is several times or dozens of times higher than the atmospheric pressure, and the pressure generated by the cross-sectional area of the piston rod is smaller than that of the piston. It is not easy to realize the movement of the piston rod. Due to the difference in principle, gas springs have significant advantages compared with ordinary springs: the speed is relatively slow, the power change is small (generally within 1:1.2), and the control is convenient.
The air spring has excellent vibration isolation and noise reduction functions, and the air spring equipment has excellent nonlinear rigidity, which can effectively limit the amplitude, avoid resonance and prevent impact. The air spring can absorb high-frequency vibration and has excellent sound insulation performance. In addition, increasing the overall volume of the air spring can also reduce the natural frequency of the vibration isolation system. This is the unique advantage of air springs.
