The answer of some common problems
1. Why is spring air used
Air springs contain a column of air in an elastomeric bellow or sleeve to provide suspension, isolation, or actuation. Commonly found in vehicle suspension systems, occasionally in conjunction with a coil spring, they are also used to insulate vibration in machinery and as linear or angular actuators.
2. What is air spring force
The pneumatic (air) spring is basically a column of confined gas in a container designed to utilize the pressure of the gas as a force medium of the spring. The compressibility of the gas provides the desired elasticity for suspension use.
3. Are air springs linear
As actuators, Compact Automation Air Springs can provide either linear or angular motion. These air springs offer a favorable stroke-to-compressed-height ratio when compared to air cylinders, and they can accept a wide variety of actuation media such as air, water, nitrogen or anti-freeze.
4. Which factors affect the load carrying capacity of air springs
The load rating for each Air Lift air spring is a combination of two things: the pressure and the diameter. Obviously, the higher the pressure, the greater the load the air spring will carry. The diameter is important because that is the factor that determines the air springs load support at a given pressure.
