Guomat 1B8×4 air spring applied to expansion chuck
The air spring is filled with compressed air in a sealed container, and uses the compressibility of the gas to achieve its elastic effect. Air springs have ideal nonlinear elastic characteristics.
The height of the annular air spring is limited from the inside, then its rubber walls will expand outwards when inflated. In this way, the air spring can be used as an expansion chuck. Note that the air must be drawn from the same mechanism that limits the height of the air spring.
