Air spring vulcanization process problems and solutions
At present, the commonly used production processes of air springs on the market are mainly vulcanized and pressurized.
1. Vulcanization type: Put the processed wheel hub and inertia block into the vulcanization mold.
(1) Fill the pre-calculated raw rubber material into the gap between the hub and the inertia block;
(2) Put the mold and the workpiece together on the heating plate of the flat vulcanizer (the vulcanizer has been pre-heated to the vulcanization temperature), press the mold under a certain pressure, and keep it for a certain period of time to stop the vulcanization;
(3) The vulcanization pressure, temperature and time need to be determined according to different rubber types and different formulations;
(4) Under the combined action of temperature and pressure, the raw rubber material begins to ablate, filling the gap between the hub and the inertia block, and the excess rubber material can be discharged from the running material to the port on the mold;
(5) The positioning of the workpiece and the accuracy of the position and shape after molding are guaranteed by the mold. In actual use, a suitable adhesive should be used, and appropriate surface treatment should be applied to the surface of the hub and inertia block to increase the firmness of the vulcanization bond. After vulcanization, the workpiece is removed from the mold. , the inertia blocks are firmly glued together, and the excess rubber is removed.
2. Pressurized type: Use pre-vulcanized damping rubber ring
(1) On the press, use a special press to press the rubber ring between the hub and the inertia block to a certain compression ratio;
(2) Appropriate adhesives should also be used, and the surfaces of the hub and inertia block should be properly treated to increase the firmness of the adhesive;
(3) The adhesive between the hub and the inertia block is a waste product after curing (some production processes need to process the outer band groove of the inertia block after curing).
Compared with the vulcanized type, the press-fit type applies a preload after adjusting the compression ratio of the rubber ring, and the adjustment amount is much larger than that of the vulcanized type, so that the rubber ring can work in the best condition.
