About 2711P-RP8A

The 2711P-RP8A is a logic module with 512MB of non-volatile RAM that uses AC voltage as a power source. It is compatible with all terminals in the PanelView Plus 6 series. Due to its adjustable memory and capability in complex applications, this logic module can work in harsh environments. It comes with the FactoryTalk View Machine Edition Software Version 6. The Network interface for the 2711P-RP8A can connect to it with the CompactFlash, Ethernet, and USB ports available in this logic module. The module has flashing indicators for process identification and there are provisions to perform control panel operations or even connect to third-party applications at the click of a button.


Although there are standard features like a command shell, a common dialog box, and a PDF reader with the 2711P-RP8A, there are also extended features like remote desktop connectivity, Media Player options, and a Wordpad Text editor. Make sure to connect the protective earth terminal to a low impedance ground.
To avoid the loss of saved settings, make sure to connect the display module when the 2711P-RP8A is powered off.
