The Omron CJ2M-CPU32 (CJ2MCPU32) is a CJ2 series control module with input output points. The control module has 2,560 input output points per 40 units and this CPU can tolerate 3 expansion racks. The program capacity is 10K steps and the data memory capacity is 160K words which can be partitioned between 32K words for the data memory (DM) and 32K words times 1 bank for the extended memory (EM). The current consumption is 700mA at 5V. The CJ2M-CPU32 has two different types of tasks: cyclic tasks and interrupt tasks. There are 128 cyclic tasks and 256 interrupt tasks. All interrupt tasks can be converted into ancillary tasks.

The CJ2M-CPU32 input output control module has an option board slot which buttresses a serial option card. Appurtenant boards are the CP1W-CIF01 (which is a RS-232C port), the CP1W-CIF11, and the CP1W-CIF12 (the latter two are RS-422A/485; the second one is an isolate port). The peripheral (USB) port connects with programming devices using the peripheral bus protocol. The baud rate is 12Mbps and its transmission distance is 5 meters. The CPU32 has an EtherNet/IP port that may connect with a host computer using the 100Base-TX transmission media which is a shielded twisted-pair (STP) cable that has a baud rate of 100Mbps and baseband modulation.

In a Omron configuration this CPU may be placed on an expansion rack with a power supply and specialized input and output control modules. These modules are ideally attached by the integrated connectors on the side of the modules and the sliders fittingly place on the top which secure the connection made.
