The LNK-KHX2240 series is an example of high performance 4K HDMI KVM Fiber Optic Extender. It supports HDMI v1.4 signals with resolutions up to 4K (4096x2160 / 30p) and can transmit signals over distances up to 300m. It consists of an optical transmitter module that converts the DVI / HDMI signals into light pulses and an optical receiver module that converts these light pulses back to a DVI / HDMI signal.

Moreover, the extender set incorporates a TMDS equalization technology in order to prevent signal degradation.

Real Time Transmission enables streaming of digital video and audio data in real-time. It supports three industry-standard interfaces - DVI 1.0, HDMI v1.4 and HDCP 1.2. Using this technology, resolutions up to 3840*2160/30p, 4096x2160/30p, 3840*2160/60P (YCbCr 420) and 4096*2160/60P (YCbCr 420) can be achieved with high colour depth of up to 24 bits/pixel.
