The discontinued Allen Bradley Panelview 600 2711-B6C16 is an operator terminal that enables the user to interface with their machine. This HMI has a 5 in. Color Display. This Panelview allows the user to connect using Panelbuilder 32 software and a RS-232 (DF1) and RS-232 Printer/Download communication port with a 2711-NC13 communication cable(s).


The user is able to control the HMI using the Keypad/Touchscreen to input information and data. This unit is powered using 85-264 VAC power. This unit has the following internal memory: 240 KB. If applicable this unit has an internal backlight replacement part number of 2711-NL5.


The approximate shipping weight and dimensions are 6 lbs. and 14 x 11 x 8 in. The most common Series are: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, and L and the most common firmware include 1.00-4.48. The RS-232 (DF1) PanelView terminals use an individual SLC 500, PLC-5, or MicroLogix controller that supports Full Duplex communication. DF1 is a proprietary Allen-Bradley master/slave protocol used to transport information over a serial data communications RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 interface. DF1 is used for applications requiring messaging to and from Allen-Bradley controllers and other equipment.

This option offers top performing peer-to-peer communication through the Full Duplex. The DF1 port on the PanelView terminal is a 9-pin, male, RS-232 connector. The RS-232 Printer port can be used to transfer applications between a computer and the terminal, or to connect a printer.

Do not use a PanelView terminal for emergency stops or other controls critical to the safety of personnel or equipment. Use separate hardwired operator interface devices that do not depend on solid state electronics. See the inside front cover of this manual for guidelines.
