• Can I create a Quantum Hot Standby configuration running one 140CPU53414A PLC with Unity firmware and one with NxT firmware?

  No. When using an NxT configuration in hot standby, both PLCs must have NxT firmware. When using a Unity Quantum hot standby configuration, only specific hot standby controllers can be used. The 140CPU43412A and 140CPU53414A PLCs are not supported in Unity Hot Standby configurations.

• Can the 140NOC77100 Quantum Ethernet IP module scan a Allen Bradley Control Logix PLC?

  The 140NOC77100 cannot scan a Allen Bradley Control Logix PLC. The reason for this is because of a proprietary way of peer to peer communication between Allen Bradley controllers. They use Produce and Consume tag in order to synchronize information between PLCs and do not have an assembly object that the 140NOC77100 can scan.

  
  Note: The 140NOC77100 can be an adapter to a Allen Bradley controller so the Control Logix PLC can scan the 140NOC77100.

• Do I have to power cycle the PLC in order to recognize a switch change from RTU to MEM on the 140NOM21200?

  If your using a Unity Quantum PLC you will have to cycle power. If your using a Non Unity Quantum PLC you will not have to perform a power cycle.
