The Mitsubishi MR-J4-40A (MRJ440A) is a 400W, 200V Melservo MR-J4 servo amplifier. The output of the voltage is 170VAC that is 3-phases, and an output current of 2.8A. Main circuit power supply has a rated current of 2.6A. Both input power supplies, the main circuit and the control circuit, run on 3-phase or 1-phase (control circuit only runs on a 1-phase) voltage of 200 to 240VAC and a frequency of 50/60Hz. The voltage rate may be permitted to perform on 170 to 264VAC for both input power supplies.

The MR-J4-40A servo amplifier has multiple ports. The CN1 port can connect to a handful of Mitsubishi control modules like many FX3 or Q series control modules; all control modules can connect by using a terminal block. The CN2 port can attach to the encoder of a servo motor of the proper series which will be mentioned below. The servo motor can also connect to the MR-J4-40A servo amplifier by the ‘U, V, W’ terminal deploying a servo motor power cable. The MR-J4-40A has a CN3 port that may use a RS-422 communication to attach to the GOT series operating touchscreen. The CN5 port can connect to a personal computer that has a MR Configurator2 using a MR-J3USBCBL3M USB cable.

There are a few different servo motors that the MR-J4-40A servo amplifier can concatenate with. It can connect with two rotary servo motors: the HG-KR43 or the HG-MR43; five different linear servo motor: the LM-H3P2A-07P-BSS0, LM-H3P3A-12P-CSS0, LM-K2P1A-01M-2SS1, LM-U2PAD-10M-0SS0, and LM-U2PAF-15M-0SS0; and a TM-RFM004C20 direct drive motor.
