Technical principle: SLA stereolithography molding technology, can produce 360° shapeless prototype with no dead angle printing accuracy of up to 0.05mm, can be manufactured without mold.


Stereolithography As with many additive manufacturing processes, the first step involves designing 3D models from CAD software. The generated CAD file is a digital representation of the desired object. If they are not automatically generated, you must convert the CAD file to an STL file. The Standard Surface Subdivision Language (STL) or "Standard Triangle Language" is the native file format of the stereolithography software created by Abert Consulting Group for 3D Systems in 1987. The STL file describes the surface geometry of 3D objects, ignoring other Common CAD model properties such as color and texture.

The pre-printer step is to feed the STL file to the 3D slicer software, such as Cura. These platforms are responsible for generating G code, which is the native language of 3D printers.

When the process begins, the laser "pushes" the first layer of print into the photosensitive resin. The liquid solidifies no matter where the laser hits. The laser is directed to the appropriate coordinates by a computer controlled mirror.

At this point, it is worth mentioning that the industrial SLA laser 3D printer developed by Kings is the opposite. That is to say, the laser is directed to the build platform, which starts from the low position and gradually rises. After the first layer, the platform is raised according to the layer thickness (typically about 0.1 mm) and the additional resin flows under the already printed portion. The laser then cures the next cross section and repeats the process until the entire part is completed. The resin that is not in contact with the laser remains in the barrel and can be reused.
