1 . Descriptions:
Electrodeionization (EDI) is a technology that removes anions and cations from water by adsorbing them through an anion-exchange membrane and a cation-exchange membrane, respectively. This is achieved by mixing ion-exchange resins and passing them through the membranes while applying a direct current voltage. In this process, the ion exchange resin is continuously regenerated under the action of electricity, eliminating the need for acid and alkali regeneration. EDI technology is capable of producing high-purity water with a resistivity of 5-15 MΩ-cm, making it essential for both wastewater treatment systems and pure water treatment systems.
EDI water treatment technology is widely used in various industrial fields where high-purity water is in demand, serving both wastewater treatment systems and pure water treatment systems.
