Roots Blower
Roots blower is a highly developed three-blade positive displacement blower. Modular design and a wide range of accessories enable it to meet very specific customer requirements. With the development of this model, we attach great importance to optimization of power efficiency, long life, extremely low vibration and low noise level.
The blower is available in overpressure and vacuum versions. In addition, we provide a two-stage version with a pressure requirement of 10.000 to 20.000 mmAq (1 to 2 Kgf / cm2). The two-stage Roots blower consists of two blowers operating in series. To prevent overheating, the conveyed air will be cooled by a water cooling system located between the outlet of the first blower and the inlet of the second blower. The main advantage of our two-stage Roots blower is that it reaches a fairly high pressure. Especially in the case of a long daily operation time, our secondary blower can still ensure a constant exhaust temperature and airflow level. This is different from a centrifugal blower, which can provide a considerable pressure level.
We usually provide additional air and water cooling systems for all blower versions. In case the surrounding temperature exceeds a certain level or the temperature of the conveyed air cannot rise above a certain level, additional cooling may be required, usually for conveying synthetic particles or plastic particles. Available cooling systems include air cooling outside the enclosure, water cooling for the blower enclosure, and water cooling for the exhaust port.
Other accessories include suction and exhaust silencers, suction filters, biological filters, single and double membrane disc diffusers, tubular diffusers, etc.
Like all our positive displacement blowers, TOM Roots blowers can deliver oil-free medium media. During operation, the rotors neither contact each other nor the housing. Therefore, no lubrication is required in the transfer chamber. The medium will not be contaminated by any lubricant, nor will it be affected by wear particles that may be released.
