High Sensitivity 640x512 / 15μm MWIR Cooled Infrared Detector with RS058 Integral Stirling Cooler
C615M MWIR is one of the HgCdTe/MCT cooled infrared detectors developed by Global Sensor Technology (GST). It is with the most popular 640x512@15μm spec for almost all possible applications like long range surveillance system, handheld thermal imagers, gas leakage detection cameras etc.
The C615M RS058 is interchangeable with most mainstream Scorpio like products when configured with RS058 integrated stirling cooler. The dewar design, the cooler dimension, and the mechanical/electrical interface are almost the same so that the camera integrators only need to take out their old defective counterpart and connect our interchangeable C615M RS058 easily for further internal configuration.

The C615M MWIR cryogenically cooled infrared detector is widely used many areas such as Remote Monitoring System, Flight Vision Enhancement System, Multi-sensor Payload etc.
1. What is thermal sensitivity?
Thermal Sensitivity, also named NETD (Noise Equivalent Temperature Difference), is a key parameter for evaluating medium wave (MWIR) and long wave (LWIR) thermal imaging cameras. It is directly related to the clarity measured by the thermal imager. It is a numerical value representing the signal-to-noise ratio of the temperature difference and measured in milliKelvins (mK). The smaller the thermal sensitivity value, the higher the sensitivity and the clearer the image.
2. What are the applications of thermal imaging?
Temperature measurement and all-weather imaging are two basic functions of infrared thermal imaging technology. Products developed based on these two technologies are widely used in security & monitoring, UAV payloads, industrial inspection, firefighting, predictive maintenance, ADAS, epidemic prevention, AIoT etc.
