Overview
Compared to conventional oil-immersed transformers, a fully sealed distribution transformer eliminates the oil conservator, using corrugated oil tank fins instead of oil pipes as cooling elements. The corrugated tank, made from high-quality cold-rolled steel sheets on a specialized production line, expands and contracts with the transformer oil volume, isolating the transformer from the atmosphere. This design helps prevent and slow oil degradation and moisture absorption in the insulation, enhancing operational reliability and allowing for maintenance-free normal operation. The corrugated tank surface undergoes degreasing, rust removal, and phosphating, followed by a triple-protective coating (rainproof, moisture-proof, and smoke-proof), making it suitable for harsh environments like metallurgy and petrochemical industries.
