In an air brake system, the front brake chamber assembly typically consists of two main chambers: the upper chamber and the lower chamber. These chambers work together to convert compressed air pressure into mechanical force, which is used to apply the front brakes.

When the driver activates the brake pedal, compressed air is directed to the front brake chamber assembly. The air pressure causes the diaphragm inside the chambers to move, which in turn pushes the pushrod connected to the brake shoes or brake pads. This action applies the friction material against the brake drum or rotor, resulting in the braking force that slows down or stops the vehicle.
