Jekit RS8 Big Brake Calliper 380*34mm Disc Rotor 8 Pots Brakes
Brake Caliper
The brake wheel cylinder is the brake caliper we often talk about. The difference between different calipers lies in the number of pistons inside. Most of the original cars are single pistons. Among the modified products, there are 4 pistons, 6 pistons, 8 pistons, 10 pistons, 12 pistons and so on. The more the number of pistons means that the calipers have a stronger ability to clamp the brake disc and the greater the braking force. They are usually used more in competitions.
The master cylinder plays the role of conveying brake oil, and the distribution result of the master cylinder directly affects the brake foot feel. After replacing the multi piston slave cylinder, the output and distribution of the brake oil of the original master cylinder are not reset, which will lead to the piston not getting enough brake oil for vehicle braking, so the brake pedal stroke will be lengthened and the braking distance will be increased.
Brake Disc
The most commonly used is the ventilation panel. The ventilation disc is divided into two forms, marking disc and perforated disc. The functions of the two treatment methods are to improve the cooling performance of the brake disc, reduce its heat attenuation and provide better braking capacity.
In addition, with the development of material technology in recent years, there are two kinds of brake discs: carbon fiber ceramic brake disc and metal brake disc. However, due to the excessively high manufacturing cost and poor braking force at low temperature, carbon fiber ceramic brake disc is still not selected by most vehicles despite its excellent heat attenuation resistance. It can only be used on some high-performance sports cars such as Ferrari and Pagani. After all, the metal brake discs of the original factory of the "vegetable car" at home are enough. Even if you run off the track, it is more affordable to choose the metal brake discs treated with carbon fiber than to replace the ceramic brake discs. However, the appearance of using ceramic brake discs is still very eye-catching.
Brake Pad
Brake skin is a part that directly transmits the braking force to the wheel. It is not composed of simple rubber as we think, but is divided into metal, carbon fiber ceramics and other materials. Different materials have different working temperature and friction coefficient. Generally, the brake skin with higher friction coefficient has higher working temperature. When we choose the high-performance brake skin, we do not pursue the high braking force brought by the high friction coefficient, because in daily driving, the high braking force will make the brake too sensitive, and the comfort and handling will be significantly reduced. Due to the high working temperature, the brake skin will be difficult to reach the working state, resulting in danger.
