If the brake fluid is dirty, drain and flush the entire system, then fill the master cylinder with new fluid. Do not reuse brake fluid. All brake fluid that has been drained from the system should be discarded.
Inhaling asbestos dust is very harmful to your health. When using a dry brush or compressed air to remove the dust and dirt on the brake system, the dust will be raised. As it easily contains asbestos fibers, it is easy to damage your health. Dust and mud should be dealt with with a vacuum cleaner that specifically removes asbestos, and the dustproof mode should be used. If you don't have a vacuum cleaner, you should maintain the brake assembly in a well-ventilated place and wear a certified anti-virus respirator.
Before checking the brakes, carefully wipe off the dirt on the main cylinder to prevent any dirt from falling into the oil storage tank. Remove the fasteners (usually pins) and covers. For cylinders with no scale, keep the liquid level 6 mm from the top of the cylinder. If there is a scale, just keep the liquid level higher than the scale. If the master cylinder needs to be refueled, please add heavy-duty brake fluid that meets DOT3 or 4 specifications.
The maintenance of the brake system is very important. The brake system of electric vehicles mainly uses brake fluid to transmit braking force, while large passenger cars and heavy trucks use pneumatic brake systems. There are also different maintenance methods for different brake systems:
For the air brake system, pay attention to frequently draining the accumulated water in the system and regularly replacing the dryer. The moisture in the air system will corrode the pipeline and affect the braking effect. In severe cases, it can even cause the brake system to fail.
