Caliper classification

1. Material classification:

According to different materials, it can be divided into cast aluminum alloy, forged aluminum alloy and titanium alloy;

Cast aluminum alloy: it is a common caliper material with low price and mature process, which can meet the daily use, but the performance is general and the quality is heavy, which is generally common in the mass production vehicles of the original factory;

Forged aluminum alloy: including hot forging and cold forging process. High performance forging process, excellent performance, expensive price, more advanced process, higher material strength, lighter weight, resistance to high temperature, and can meet the use of more complex environments;

Titanium alloy: the lightest weight, the most expensive price, better heat resistance and higher strength;

Brake caliper is a caliper device with the functions of decelerating, stopping or maintaining the stopped state of moving wheels. It is generally only used in disc brake system. The working principle of disc brake can be described as a plate. When holding the rotating plate with your thumb and index finger, the plate will also stop rotating.
