Description
Monkeypox is caused by monkeypox virus infection. MPV was first isolated in Copenhagen laboratory monkeys in 1958, and the first human monkeypox case was reported in Congo in 1970. The symptoms of human disease caused by MPV are similar to smallpox, but it is less lethal and less contagious than the smallpox virus. The incubation period of monkeypox is 5-21 days, beginning with a febrile phase, which usually lasts 1 to 3 days. Symptoms include fever, chills, severe headache, swollen lymph nodes, back pain, muscle pain, and extreme fatigue. After the febrile period is the rash period, which usually lasts for 2-4 weeks. The patient first develops a rash on the face and then spreads to other parts of the body. The rash lesions evolve from macules (flat base) to papules (raised, hard, painful), filled with clear fluid), pustules (filled with pus), and finally scabs. According to the branch of MPV infection and medical conditions, the fatality rate of MPV is 0-11%, and the mortality rate of young children is higher. If you find the above symptoms, please quickly use the monkeypox rapid detection reagent to accurately determine whether you are infected with the monkeypox virus.
MPV belongs to the Orthopoxvirus genus of the Poxviridae family, which also includes the smallpox virus, vaccinia virus, and vaccinia virus. MPV is an enveloped linear double-stranded DNA virus with a genome size of about 197kb, wrapped in a polycrystalline dumbbell-shaped nucleus with a diameter of 140-260nm, and the virus particles are brick-shaped or oval.

The 25-test package contains the tube stand, the 5-test package uses the test box itself as the tube stand.
Clinical Evaluation
Clinical evaluation was performed to compare the results obtained by the human monkeypox virus(hMPV)Antigen Rapid Test Cassette (swab) and PCR. The results were summarized below:
Table: human monkeypox virus(hMPV)Antigen Rapid Test Cassette (swab) vs. PCR
Method | hMPV Nucleic Acid Test Kit (RT-PCR) | Total Results
The human monkeypox virus(hMPV)Antigen Rapid Test Cassette (Swab) | Results | Positive | Negative
Positive | 35 | 0 | 35 | |
Negative | 2 | 137 | 139 | |
Total Results | 37 | 137 | 174 |
Clinical sensitivity = 35/37=94.59% (95%CI* 81.37% to 99.43%)
Clinical specificity = 137/137=100% (95%CI* 96.67% to 100%)
Accuracy: 172/174=98.85% (95%CI* 95.64% to 99.95%)
