Description:

The contact IC cards are named so because they come in contact with the reader. These smart cards are the size of a credit card. A metallic chip is embedded inside the plastic card with a microprocessor and a memory or only with a memory. FM4442 is the memory card chip which has 256*8 bits EEPROM with write protect function and programmable security code.With its contact configuration in accordance to ISO standard 7816 (Synchronous transmission).FM4442 provides a security code logic which controls the write/erase access to the memory. The FM4442 contains a 4 bytes security memory with an Error Counter EC (bit 0 to bit 2) and 3 bytes reference data. These 3 bytes as a whole are called programmable security code (PSC). After power on the whole memory, except for the reference data, can only be read.FM4442 smart card can be widely used in different types of IC memory cards.These contact smart cards are widely used in network security, access control, e-commerce, electronic cash and as health cards.
