The Biaxial Plastic Geogrid is a high-strength, versatile geosynthetic material designed for soil reinforcement and stabilization in civil engineering and construction projects. Made from premium-grade polypropylene or polyethylene, this geogrid features a uniform grid structure that provides exceptional tensile strength in both longitudinal and transverse directions. It is widely used to enhance the stability of weak soils, reduce settlement, and improve load-bearing capacity in applications such as roadways, retaining walls, and embankments.
Key Features:
High Tensile Strength:
Provides excellent load distribution and reinforcement in both directions.
Enhances the structural integrity of soil and aggregate layers.
Durability and Longevity:
Resistant to chemical, biological, and environmental degradation.
Withstands harsh conditions, including UV exposure and extreme temperatures.
Improved Soil Stability:
Reduces soil movement and prevents lateral spreading.
Increases the bearing capacity of weak or soft soils.
Cost-Effective Solution:
Reduces the need for excessive excavation and replacement of poor soils.
Lowers construction costs by minimizing material usage and labor.
Easy Installation:
Lightweight and flexible, allowing for quick and straightforward deployment.
Can be easily cut to fit specific project requirements.
Versatile Applications:
Suitable for a wide range of civil engineering and construction projects.
Compatible with various soil types and fill materials.
Applications:
Road and Pavement Construction:
Base reinforcement for highways, railways, and airport runways
Prevention of reflective cracking in asphalt pavements
Retaining Structures:
Reinforced soil retaining walls
Steep slope stabilization
Embankments and Foundations:
Stabilization of soft ground and embankments
Reinforcement of foundation soils
Landfill and Erosion Control:
Landfill liner reinforcement
Erosion control in slopes and channels

Installation
Excavate the base bed, set up a sand cushion layer (height difference is not more than 10cm), roll it into a platform, lay the grid, the longitudinal axis should be consistent with the main force direction, overlap 15-20cm longitudinally and 10cm horizontally, tie the overlap with plastic tape, and fix it to the ground with U-shaped nails every 1.5-2m on the laid bidirectional plastic geogrid. The laid geogrid should be backfilled with soil in time, and the number of laid geogrid layers depends on the technical requirements.
