Stepper Motor Driver JB234MA DC12-40V 3.0A 64Microstep
Features
High performance, low price
4 channels constant angle and constant torque microstep, highest microstep is up to 64
Upmost response frequency amounts to 200Kpps
Once the pulse stops over 100ms, the phase current will automatically cut by half
Bipolar constant current chopper control
Opto-isolated signal Input/Output
Driving current is continuously adjustable from 0.5A/phase to 3A/phase
Single power input, voltage range: DC12-40V
It can match 2 phase 6 leads or 8 leads hybrid stepper motors whose current is under 3A, flange size ranges from 42mm to 57mm.

Terminal function
Mark | Function | Notes |
Power | Power indicator | The green indicator lights when the power is on. |
O.H | Alarm indicator | The red indicator lights when overheat occurs. |
Im | Current setting adjuster | Adjust motor’s phase current. Turning it clockwise will increase the current output, counterclockwise will decrease |
+ | Positive of opto-isolated | It can connect +5V or +24V, but an extra resistor is needed if it connect +24V |
PU | Step pulse signal | Effects on falling edge, the motor goes one step as the pulse input change from “high” to “low”. Input resistance is 220Ω. Requirement: low voltage:0-0.5V, high voltage:4-5V, pulse width >2.5μs |
DR | Direction control signal | Change motor’s direction of rotation. Input resistance is 220Ω. Requirement: low voltage:0-0.5V |
MF | Motor Free signal | Once effects, it will cut off the motor current, the driver stops working and sets the motor free |
V+ | Power+ | DC12V-40V |
V- | Power- | |
AC、BC | Connect to the motor | |

! Caution
1. Do not reverse the power input, input voltage should not exceed DC40V.
2. Input control signal is 5V, current-limiting resistance should be connected when it is over 5V.
3. Alarm indicator O.H lights and the driver stops working when the driver temperature is over 70℃. It will restart to work automatically until the temperature falls to 50℃. The heat sink is needed when overheat occurs
4. 6 or 8 leads motors have to be used due to the special control circuit in the driver.
