Description

The gear precision of the gear shaft is 10 and the machining modulus is 1.8, The structure of gear shaft after normalizing is: F+S for hypoeutectoid steel, S for eutectoid steel, S+ secondary cementite for eutectoid steel, and it is discontinuous.

When quenching and tempering, the whole section of the workpiece is required to be thoroughly quenched, so that the workpiece can get fine needle-like quenched martensite.

Determine tempering temperature

In curves of different carbon content and tempering temperature (Heat Treatment of Steel, Hu Guangli and Xie Xiwen, Northwestern Polytechnical University Press). The curve band with carbon content of 0.4~0.5% was found, and then HRC=35~40 was found on the ordinate. The point where the curve band intersected was the heating temperature, which was about 480℃
