Description

The heat treatment process used for 2.8 kg CVT Pulley Shaft is carburizing and quenching, The purpose of quenching is to make the supercooled austenite martensite or bainite transformation, get martensite or bainite structure, and then with different temperature tempering, in order to greatly improve the strength, hardness, wear resistance, fatigue strength and toughness of steel, so as to meet the different requirements of various mechanical parts and tools. It can also meet the special physical and chemical properties such as ferromagnetism and corrosion resistance of some special steels by quenching.

Heat treatment process in which the metal workpiece is heated to an appropriate temperature and held for a period of time, then immersed in the quenched medium for rapid cooling. Commonly used quenching media are salt water, water, mineral oil, air and so on.

Quenching can improve the hardness and wear resistance of metal workpiece, so it is widely used in all kinds of work, mold, measuring tools and parts requiring surface wear resistance (such as gear, roll, carburizing parts, etc.).
