   • 7: Protected against immersion up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes under specified conditions
   • 8: Protected against continuous immersion in water under specified conditions (typically used for specific requirements)

Therefore, an IP65 rating signifies that a device is dust-tight (first digit is 6) and protected against water jets from any direction (second digit is 5).
