Intended Use

To be used for blood cell counting, sizing, and WBC differentiation, hemoglobin determination on ABX PENTRA120 hematology analyzers. This product is for In Vitro Diagnostic Use only.

KIT COMPOSITION

Procedures

• From the run screen, press “ESC” to access the “MAIN MENU.
• Remove the Diluent Line from the Diluent box.
• Wipe the tube’s surface with a lent free tissue, and then rinse with distilled water.
• Place the tubes on a dry clean place.
• Using the arrow keys to select the menu “3-Reagents” and press “Enter”
• From the Reagents menu, using the arrow keys to select the menu “3-Prime” and press “1-Diluent”. This step will purge the diluent lines with air to make sure that the reagents will not be mixed with the previously used ones. At this step an error message appears: “Error: NO Diluent, Check Level”
• Press “ESC”. At this step an error message appears: “Emergency stop, Run an autocontrol”
• Press “ESC” three times to access the Main Menu.
• Press “4-Maintanence” – “1-Autocontrol cycle”. After the cycle has been done, press “ESC”.
• Press “3-Reagents” – “3-Prime”
• Remove all the lines from the bottles Cleaner, Eosinofix, Basolyse II, and Alphalyse.
• Press “2-Cleaner”. This step will purge the Cleaner lines with air.
• Press “3-Eosinofix”. This step will purge the Eosinofix lines with air.
• Press “4- Basolyse II”. This step will purge the Basolyse lines with air.
• Press “5-Alphalyse”. This step will purge the Alphalyse lines with air.
• Wipe the tube’s surface with a lent free tissue, and then rinse with distilled water.
• Put all five reagent aspiration tubes into the appropriate Labnovation box and bottles.
• Press “ESC” – “1-Level Change” – “All reagents” This step will set all reagent levels to full (100%), and an autoprime cycle will be done.
• Press “ESC” – “Prime” – “All reagents”. Repeat this step once again.
• After all three prime cycles have been done, press “ESC” key three times, to access the “Start Cycle” menu.
• Run at least 5 backgrounds. Check for the acceptable values.
• Run all three levels of a dedicated commercial control. Check for the acceptable values.
• Recalibrate the unit if necessary. The default pathword for ABX Pentra 60 users is “123”.

Storage

Store the product at 5-35℃ in a dust free place with good ventilation. Temperature outside the range may damage the product.

The open vial life of the product is 30/60 days. Unused reagents should be discarded after 30/60 days. Do not mix residual with a new carton.

PRECAUTIONS

• Re-calibration is recommended when changing the origin of the reagents.
• It is not recommended using different brands of solutions together on one unit of analyzer.
• Do not ingest. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
• Skin contact: Flush with plenty of water.
• Eyes contact: Flush with plenty of water. Obtain immediate medical attention.
• This kit is for professionals and in vitro diagnostic use only.
