The Lab Vibratory Sampling machine works by means of vibration grinding. There are two components inside the feeder bowl which are used for breaking down materials. The ring breaker and the hammer both help to crush and grind inside the bowl. It spins at a high speed, and its strong vibrations and friction cause the materials to be ground up into a powder sample of 80-200mu within 2-6 minutes, that can be directly used for testing.
The feeder bowl is made of different materials, such as common steel, manganese steel, wear proof alloy and tungsten carbide. Depending on which material the bowl is made of, the mineral hardness also varies.
