CVD Rough Diamonds Description
CVD rough diamonds are real diamonds made by chemical vapor deposition(CVD) method in the laboratory.
How is the diamond production process in the laboratory?
Lab created diamonds do not need to be produced under the high temperature and high pressure conditions inside the earth like mined diamonds. It grows in a mild environment in a ground laboratory.
Laboratory grown diamond can be processed by two methods: CVD (chemical vapor deposition) or HPHT (high temperature and high pressure). Both methods needs seed. In chemical vapor deposition (CVD), the seed is placed in a plasma reactor chamber, and then a carbon-rich gas mixture is added to the seed under extremely low pressure. Then microwaves are used to heat the gas and generate plasma. When the temperature rises by several thousand degrees Celsius, the gas molecules decompose and the carbon atoms are combined with the seeds. Its operation process is to put a small piece of diamond as seed diamond into the reactor, then fill the reactor with methane, and then turn on electricity. The methane molecules are then ionized, forming a plasma. This plasma contains a large number of carbon atoms, which continuously accumulate on the diamond mother crystal. After layer by layer, lab grown diamonds composed of pure carbon atoms are formed.
High pressure and high pressure (HPHT) places the seeds under great mechanical pressure and exerting high pressure and high temperature on the existing carbon. The seed will quickly turn into a diamond with a carbon lattice and grow layer by layer within a few days until it reaches the desired carat weight.

CVD Rough Diamonds Introduction
Natural diamonds are created by nature and are the result of high temperature and pressure formed over billions of years. The Lab Grown Diamonds are produced in the laboratory, usually in a few weeks. The chemical difference between the two is same.
So how do you distinguish between Lab Grown Diamonds and natural diamonds?
There is no obvious difference between the Lab Grown Diamonds and natural diamonds. Even professional gemologists need special equipment to identify them. By zooming in, professionals will be able to discern subtle contrasts in diamond inclusions grown and mined in the laboratory.
