On June 7, 2024, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) announced a new SVHC intention substance (O, O, O-triphenyl thiophosphate). ECHA plans to launch a public review of the substance in August 2024. If the review is passed, the substance is expected to be officially added to SVHC in January 2025. The specific information is as follows:

According to REACH regulations, if an article contains SVHC and the content is greater than 0.1% (w/w), it must be notified to downstream users or consumers to fulfill the obligation of information transmission; if an article contains SVHC and the content is greater than 0.1% (w/w), and the annual export volume is greater than 1 ton, it must be notified to ECHA; and according to the requirements of the Waste Framework Directive WFD, from January 5, 2021, if the content of SVHC in an article is greater than 0.1%, the company must make a SCIP notification.
