MEPS Registration
Products within the scope of energy efficiency regulations must be registered and marked before they can be sold on the market. Products applying for registration must meet the relevant minimum standard requirements. Applications are accepted by government authorities, which can be applied to the competent authorities of the state/region or to the competent authorities of other states/regions (NSW, VIC, QUEENSLAND, SA). All states/regions recognize the results of registration in other states/regions.
Application conditions
The product is tested according to the first part of the relevant standards and meets the performance standard requirements of the second part;
For products included in the minimum energy performance standard management, they must also meet the MEPS requirements of the second part;
Manufacturers send samples for testing (recognized ISO17025 testing agencies)
Water heater products must meet MEPS requirements;
Agents in Australia or the applicant in Australia.

Recognized testing agencies for testing. Only by ensuring the accuracy of the test can the energy consumption and overall performance of the product be ensured. These test information are used to calculate the kilowatt-hour or kilowatt-hour power of electrical products, corresponding to the corresponding star rating. Electrical products must comply with the relevant performance standards of Australian standards before being labeled with energy efficiency rating labels.
Submit a written application and its attachments to the registration body and pay the registration fee. The application includes:
Written application;
Applicant or authorized representative's statement on the product's compliance with relevant standards;
Test results and calculations as specified in Part II of the relevant standards;
Samples of the electrical label to be adopted;
Test report in the format specified by the relevant standards. Product categories Registration and labeling are applicable to 5 categories of large household appliances: refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, and air conditioners. Water heaters are only registered for MEPS.
