With an excellent optical design range starting at 12 degree and including the asymmetric options. The Opsport 1440 watt Sports Flood Light has a very low UGR with no flicker, which allows for perfect slow-motion imagery within the HDTV live broadcasting industry. The Opsport Range also comes with a polyester powdered coated anti-corrosion layer for extra protection. The cooling technology for our Opsport range has been developed together with the engineers. This also has a higher input voltage range using the INVENTRONICS Driver which also allows us to offer the dimming options. • Power: 1200W and 1360W. These are high power options intended to provide intense illumination for sport courts, fields and large open recreational areas.
• Lumens: 151LM/W, so the 1200W produces 182,200 lumens and the 1360W produces 206,060 lumens. Extremely high light outputs needed for properties with demanding lighting requirements.
• LEDs: Uses highly efficient LED chips, likely Cree, Epistar or OSRAM, rated to produce 151 lumens per watt. Allows for optimized light levels without wasting energy or heat. Standard color temperature is around 5000-6500K for outdoor functionality and improved visibility.
• Housing: Heavy duty powder coated aluminum housing designed to withstand exposure and vibration. Fully weatherized and sealed to at least IP65 rating for safe outdoor operation. Housing includes built-in heat sinks to prevent overheating.
• Driver: Electronic driver is also rated and built to support the high power needs and cope with vibration. It converts standard AC power to regulated DC output for the LEDs. Driver is IP65 rated and mounted within the housing.
• Some key factors to consider for fixtures of this power/size:
• Incredibly high upfront costs: Given the specialized components and manufacturing required for these high power solutions, product pricing will be significantly higher than standard options. Only justifiable for the largest spaces with extraordinary lighting demands.
• Substantial energy usage and costs: Although highly efficient, the power draw and operation of lights this size still result in high utility bills and environmental impact due to the volume of hours used. Make sure savings from efficiency offset usage for feasible ROI.
• Limited dimming: Due to the power requirements and LED technology used, dimming capabilities are typically very limited or unavailable for these oversized solutions. They operate at maximum brightness continuously once turned on.
• Challenging installation: Installation of posts and fixtures of this size/weight often requires heavy equipment and does not allow for a standard process. More time, difficulty and cost involved to install compared to typical fixtures.
