Measuring Principle
1) Magnetic method (With Fe Probe)
Measuring Non-magnetic coatings on magnetic substrates (such as aluminum, chromium, copper, rubber coatings on steel, iron, alloy and hard magnetic steel substrates).
When the probe contact with cover, measuring probe and magnetic metal matrix form a closed magnetic circuit, as a result of the existence of
2) Eddy current method (With NFe Probe)
Measuring Non-conductive coatings on Non-magnetic basis metals (such as enamel, plastic, rubber, paint coatings on copper, aluminum, zinc, tin substrates).
Statistics
The gauge count the statistics automatically. It need at least 3 data to complete statistics: Average value, Maximum value, Minimum value,
Standard deviation, Times.
A) The measurements in the statistical
♦ In direct mode (A, B mode) , all tests (including data in history, maximum: 99 data) are counted into the Times, but only the latest 15 data would be counted to Average value, Maximum value, Minimum value, Standard deviation.
♦ In group mode (C,D mode), only the current group of tests would be counted to statistics. Maximum: 15 data. Exceed 15 data, it comes to the next group.
*NOTE: During the process, user can press “Dele” one time to delete the latest value. Press “Dele” two times to delete all the data.
B) To view statistics
Menu --- Statistics --- Press up or down key to view all the statistics data.
Storage
Menu --- Store --- Press“menu” to open the save function.
Please note, only in Group mode (C,D mode), the measured data can be saved automatically. All the saved data can be viewed on the gauge directly.
A) Memory
Memory (1 Route): 645 data (15 data / per group, 43 groups)
There are 4 routes available, in total 2580 data.
*NOTE: When full storage, new measured data would cover the old ones.
*NOTE: During the process, user can press “Dele” one time to clean the latest value. Press “Dele” two times to clean the all data in the current group
B) To view the saved data
Menu --- Store --- Press up or down key to select first/last group data --- Press“Menu” to enter the selected group.
Press up or down key to view data in one group --- Press“Menu” to enter the next group.
Workpiece
Each route/workpiece with a calibration value, so that the measurements in this route are based on the calibration value. Each route/workpiece can be set up the limits. When the measuring results beyond the limits, it would alarm. Each route/workpiece can store groups of measured data based on different calibration value, thus it particularly suitable for various field measurement.
5 calibration specimens: 48.5μm,99.8μm,249μm,513μm,1024μm
