Ionpure LX-Z — Industrial CEDI Module
Electrodeionization (EDI) is a new desalination process that combines electrodialysis and ion exchange. EDI can continuously discharge water without the need for chemical agents (acid, alkali, salt) regeneration, thus not polluting the environment; it can achieve fully automatic control; it has wide adaptability, so it can be used for water treatment in all walks of life; it has low operating costs, good economic efficiency, and is easy to popularize and promote. The demonstration and analysis of some foreign experts show that in today's water treatment and desalination systems, the use of reverse osmosis (RO) and EDI combined processes can ensure good water treatment process performance, and its economic efficiency is also good, which provides a good development prospect for the promotion of this combined process.

Working principle of IP-LXM45Z
The electrodialyzer (EDI) system is a scientific water treatment technology that mainly uses the selective permeation of ions by the exchange membrane to purify the water quality by directional movement of the dielectric ions in the water through the partition under the action of the DC electric field. Between a pair of electrodes of the electrodialyzer, there are usually multiple groups of anion membranes, cation membranes and partitions (A and B) arranged alternately to form a concentrated chamber and a dilute chamber (that is, cations can pass through the cation membrane and anions can pass through the anion membrane). The cations in the dilute chamber migrate toward the negative electrode through the cation membrane and are intercepted by the anion membrane in the concentrated chamber; the anions in the water migrate toward the positive electrode through the anion membrane and are intercepted by the cation membrane in the concentrated chamber. In this way, the number of ions in the water passing through the dilute chamber gradually decreases and becomes fresh water, while in the water of the concentrated chamber, due to the continuous influx of anions and cations in the concentrated chamber, the concentration of dielectric ions continues to increase, and it becomes concentrated water, thereby achieving the purpose of desalination, purification, concentration or refining.

1. No need for acid and alkali regeneration: In the mixed bed, the resin needs to be regenerated with chemicals and acid and alkali, and a workshop is required to safely store acid and alkali.
