Functional Test

How to:

1. If the patient monitor is installed with a battery, remove this battery first.
2. Verify that the patient monitor works correctly when running powered form an AC source.
3. Insert this battery per the procedures provided in the Operator’s Manual.
4. Remove the AC power cord and verify that the patient monitor still works correctly.

When to:

1. When first installed.
2. Whenever a battery is replaced.

The monitor can operates correctly from battery power when an AC power failure accidentally occurs.

Performance Test

How to:

Perform the test by referring to the Battery chapter in the Operator’s Manual and verify the operating time of the battery meets the product specification.

When to:

Once every six months or if the battery run time reduced significantly.

Battery Use Guidance

1. The lifetime of the battery is about 3 years.
2. A battery performance check every two years.
3. Optimize the battery once every 3 months.
4. When the monitor will not be used for a long time, the lithium battery should be taken out and preserved.
5. the battery should be replaced immediately when the battery is damaged.

Battery Optimization Steps

1. Battery charge over 10 hours.
2. Disconnect the alternating current, use the battery power until the monitor closes.
3. Recharge the battery for more than 10 hours.

Battery performance check: the first two steps to optimize the battery, and the battery power time reacts to the battery performance.
Battery life: a new full power lithium battery, the environment temperature is 25 DEG, the typical configuration (continuous pulse probe, ECG cable; Temp cable; NIBP work in the time interval for the 15min automatic measurement mode) under the condition of continuous working time is not less than 4h.
