Wear-Resistant Sludge Feed Pump Lobe Pump With NBR Coating Rotor
Operating principle
All rotary lobe pumps share the design of two shafts with parallel axes moving against one another by means of an external timing gear. The displacers fastened to the shafts turn with minimal axial and radial play against one another within an encompassing housing. The displacers and the housing have a design that, in any position, ensures separation of the suction chamber from the pressure chamber.
As the displacers turn against one another, the gaps occurring in the suction chamber are filled with the conveyed material. The medium is carried along in the rotating direction and is emptied on the pressure side by the plunging of the rotor blade into the pressure line. This results in a uniform flow from the suction side to the pressure side, thus making valves unnecessary. The stress placed on the medium is very limited since the liquid is transported nearly pulsation-free and without significant shearing, accelerations or decelerations. Abrasion-resistant elastomers or plastics as well as all-metal pumping elements are used.
The flow direction is reversible by simple changing the direction of rotation. Accuvon Rotary Lobe Pumps are thus very well suited for reverse operation
