There are two types of silica gel mold;

The first is the vulcanization mold, which belongs to the pressing mold. It is usually used to make the key or a layer of cushion under the key. The price of this mold is not expensive, and the price is calculated according to the number of mold cavities. After pressing and forming, each product is torn off by hand. The mold cost is 3000-8000 yuan;

The second is injection mold, LSR, which belongs to liquid injection. The mold requires high processing precision, and the mold should be insulated. The gap and precision should not exceed 0.01mm. The injection machine should also be modified accordingly. The price of this mold is certainly higher than that of ordinary injection mold.

What minefields do you need to avoid to find the manufacturer to open the mold?

1. Please avoid the product factory without mould R & D strength

At present, many manufacturers of silica gel products send molds to mold factories. Such control is not strict enough, and there are always some problems, such as: silicone mold can not be expected to be completed, mold changes need to be rescheduled, mold back and forth transportation wastes time, etc;

2. Please stay away from those manufacturers with ultra-low quotation

Generally, a good mold is composed of female mold, male mold and core. Reasonable design and high-quality mold material will directly affect the quality of the final silica gel product, and the personnel cost and material cost are not low
