Applications of Tantalum wire
Capacitor grade tantalum wire is mainly used to make the anode lead of tantalum electrolytic capacitor. The tantalum wire with the smallest diameter is Φ 0.10mm. It can also be made into tantalum yarn or tantalum mesh. Tantalum wire is the key material for making tantalum capacitor. Tantalum capacitor is the best capacitor. About 65% of tantalum in the world is used in this field.
High oxygen resistant brittle tantalum wire can also be used to make tantalum foil capacitors.
Tantalum wire also can be used to compensate muscle tissue, suture nerves and tendons, and make vascular stents in medical.
Tantalum wire can be made heating parts of vacuum high temperature furnace, used as vacuum electron cathode emission source, ion sputtering and spraying materials.
