Alumina Zirconia Rotary Piston Ceramic Valve for Flow Fluid Controlling System

We use our advanced ceramic materials to make high performance valve components for corrosive and abrasive fluid flows in demanding processing environments such as chemical processing, paper and pulp manufacturing and in oil and gas extraction and refining. The range includes options for ball valves, butterfly valves and rotary and linear control valves

Our valve components are made using Zirconia, an advanced ceramic material that is strong, tough and highly resistant to chemical reagents and abrasive slurries. It provides a reliable, high performance option where other materials tend to fail, even in the most challenging process applications, because it offers excellent resistant to cavitation, a major problem for process control valves.

Used for critical duties in high value processing environments, Zirconia valve components offer processors the potential for substantial savings in downtime and valve repair costs. As a result, processors and their equipment suppliers are increasingly demanding it for use in applications that use difficult chemicals such as sour oil, bitumen, bleached wood pulp, concentrated sodium hydroxide, bauxite (alumina), line slurries and sulphur dioxide (SO2).

Zirconia ceramics are used for manufacturing Extrusion dies, powder compacting dies, cutting tools, balls and seats for ball valves, thread and wire guides, pump seals, impellers and shaft guides, engine parts, oxygen sensors, fuel cells membranes,high temperature heaters for electric furnaces, bearings (e.g., bearings for submersible pumps).
Unlike traditional ceramics that tend to be hard and brittle, Zirconia has high strength, wear resistance, and flexibility far beyond those of most other technical ceramics. Zirconia is a very strong technical ceramic with excellent properties in hardness and corrosion resistance, all without the typical property of ceramics – brittleness. Its unique resistance to crack propagation and high thermal expansion make it an excellent material for joining ceramics with metals like steel. Due to Zirconia’s properties it is sometimes referred to as the “Ceramic steel”.
