Description

Application and general information 1: Standard version. The pressure setting range is adjustable. Governor - Indicates the unloading mechanism in the compressor when to accumulate air to the reservoir and when to stop the accumulation of air. Typically 100-120 psi. This item controls the pressure in the air system. The compressor runs continuously while the engine is running, so the D-2 regulator activates the compressor unloader mechanism when the system pressure reaches the governor cut-out pressure. Deactivates the unloaders once the system pressure has dropped to the governor cut-off pressure. While unloaded, the compressor simply pumps air from one cylinder to another instead of sending it to the tank.

  • Fits all trucks equipped with air systems.
  • This is a replacement part for Bendix # 275491 and Midland # 18530.
  • All parts are 1/8 NPT and include 4 plugs and mounting gasket.
  • Pressure range: 100-120 PSI.
