Description
1. Although the specific gravity of magnesium alloy is heavier than that of plastic, its strength and elasticity per unit weight are higher than that of plastic.
2. Therefore, magnesium alloy parts can be made thinner and lighter than plastic parts with the same strength. In addition, because the specific strength of magnesium alloy is higher than that of aluminum alloy and iron, the weight of aluminum or iron parts can be reduced without reducing the strength of the parts.
3. The relative specific strength of magnesium alloy plate is the highest. Specific stiffness (stiffness to mass ratio) is close to aluminum alloy and steel, much higher than engineering plastics.
4. In the elastic range, the energy absorbed by the magnesium alloy is half that of the aluminum alloy, so the magnesium alloy sheet has a good performance of seismic noise reduction.
Application in the car:
(1) Shell type. Such as clutch housing, valve cover, instrument panel, transmission case, crankcase, engine front cover, cylinder head, air conditioner housing, etc.
(2) Car brackets. Such as steering wheel, steering bracket, brake bracket, seat frame, mirror bracket, distribution bracket, etc.
Application in the Digital SLR camera:
Magnesium alloys have a certain degree of anti-corrosion performance due to their low density and high strength. They are commonly used as the skeleton of SLR cameras. Generally, high-end and professional digital SLR cameras would use magnesium alloy as skeleton to ensure them durable and feel good.
Application in the automotive industry:
1) Based on its good processability, strong mechanical properties, light weight, good toughness and good shielding performance, especially its strong recovery performance, it is used in laptop phone case, drone, anode, water heater, etc.
2) In addition, it is widely used aerospace, automobile parts, iron and steel desulfurization, alloy die-casting, 3c products and civil products.
3) Magnesium alloy has good die-casting performance, and the minimum die-casting wall thickness can reach 0.5mm. Suitable for manufacturing all kinds of automobile die casting parts.
