Product Characteristics
Product Principle
In order to reduce energy loss caused by friction with the cylinder wall, piston rings usually use low friction materials and surface treatment technology. This helps to reduce frictional resistance when in contact with the cylinder wall, improving the engine's output power and fuel economy. At the same time, reducing friction can also reduce noise and vibration generation, improving driving comfort.
The piston ring also plays a role in conducting heat in the engine. In order to withstand high temperature, high pressure, and high-speed working conditions, piston rings are usually made of high-strength and wear-resistant materials. The surface of the piston ring may undergo special treatment, such as hard plating or passivation, to increase its wear resistance and extend its service life.
Product Operation
Prepare tools and materials:
Required tools: wrench, piston ring pliers, scraper, sandpaper, cleaning agent, etc.
Required materials: new piston rings, lubricating oil, etc.
Remove the piston:
Firstly, disassemble the cylinder head and cylinder block of the engine.
Then, remove the crankshaft and connecting rod assembly so that the piston can be removed.
The piston ring is generally composed of several rings, closely connected on both sides. Common structures include oil rings, oil control rings, and upper and lower spiral grooves. The piston rings with different structures undertake different functions, such as sealing the cylinder, conducting heat, lubricating, etc.
