I. General Overview
Designed by Qingdao Luhang Airbag Fender Co., Ltd., the emergency salvage air bags are specially developed for small boats and amphibious vehicles in case of sudden water ingress. As emergency buoyancy aids, they can be quickly hung and used to ensure the safety of boats and vehicles and increase the survival chances of personnel.
II Product Composition
1.Airbags (4 pieces):
The main body is cold-bonded and molded with XB - 11 fabric, equipped with a safety valve, an exhaust and inflation valve, and an inflation connector.
It is equipped with an independent inflation system, including carbon fiber gas cylinders and quick-release valves. Pulling the cable of the quick-release valve can release the gas from the gas cylinder through the inflation connector to inflate the airbag.
The connection mechanism consists of connection straps, stainless steel spring hooks, and fixing devices to ensure the transfer and fixation of buoyancy.
2.Packaging Bags (4 pieces):
Sewn with polyester coated fabric, the airbags are sealed with nylon zippers after being put in. When inflated, the zippers will automatically expand, reducing the storage volume and preventing damage from sharp objects.
3.Fixing Devices (8 pieces)
Composed of semi-rings and bottom plates welded together, they are fixed on both sides of the vehicle body to transfer the buoyancy of the airbags.
4.Storage Boxes (1 piece)
Made by bonding non-alkali glass fiber fabric with unsaturated polyester resin, it is convenient for the installation, transportation, storage, and maintenance of the buoyancy aids.
III. Product Specifications
Total weight of a single set of products: 25kg/set.
Airbags: The operating pressure is 11kpa, and the inflated size is φ910 * 2010.
Gas cylinders: The volume is 4.7L, the internal pressure is 10mpa, and the gas composition contains nitrogen or carbon dioxide.
Inflation speed of airbags: Fully inflated within 1 minute.
Outer Packaging: The size is 400mm*855mm*510mm, and the material is polyester fabric and nylon zipper.
IV. Material Properties of Airbags
Made of double-sided TPU laminated with nylon mesh fabric, the thickness is 0.46mm ± 0.05. The breaking strength in the warp direction is ≥27kn, and the elongation at break is ≥33%. The breaking strength in the weft direction is ≥21kn, and the elongation at break is ≥48%.
V. Key Points of Use
Installation of Fixing Devices: Grind the contact parts between the vehicle body and the fixing devices, then weld, clean the welding slag, and paint. For aluminum alloy vehicle bodies, contact the manufacturer to replace the devices.
Operating Procedures: Hang the buoyancy aids before training or combat; when water ingress occurs, hang the airbags and pull the gas cylinder cables to inflate according to the steps; after going ashore, deflate, rinse, dry, inspect, and package.
Regular Inspection: Conducted once a year, covering inspections of appearance, safety valves, airtightness, and gas cylinder weight. Any problems should be repaired and recorded in time.
VI. Precautions
For Gas Cylinders: Pay attention to the hanging direction, ensure the cable separation, prevent scratches, open the valve cover, deflate in special cases, use for self-rescue, and ensure firm connection.
For Safety Valves: Check and replace if the pressure is abnormal. Do not adjust randomly. Check the airtightness and record.
VII. Packaging and Storage
Packaging: Fold the airbags according to specific steps, organize the accessories and put them into the packaging bags, and then put them together with the fixing devices into the storage box. Refer to the video CD. Put the logbooks and instruction manuals in the pockets of the packaging bags.
Storage: Store in a clean and dry environment with a temperature of 0℃ - 30℃ and a relative humidity of 40% - 70%. Keep them in a dedicated box. The storage period is three years. After expiration, re-inspect according to the factory standards.
