T- Turbo Seal / T- VTR Series Sealing Bush For Marine Turbocharger Parts
T- / T- VTR series marine turbocharger features:
T- VTR series turbocharger sealing bush is one part of T- / T- VTR series marine turbocharger with following features:
- The T- VTR series turbocharger is developed to match with two-stroke low-speed and four-stroke medium-speed heavy duty diesel engine and gas engine.
- The engine power output range from 700 kW to 18,500 kW per each T-VTR turbocharger.
- The T- VTR series turbocharges is consisted of single-stage axial turbines and radial compressors.
- Easy maintained external bearings and low friction losses of the external antifriction bearings.
- The T- VTR 4 series is capable of high pressure-charging, the pressure ratio from 3.7 even to 4.2.
- Uncooled gas casings are available which can be an alternative to water-cooled gas casing.
- The rotor runs in spring-mounted roling-contact bearings, and each bearing has its own lubrication system and oil cooling system.
- The rotor shaft can be removed in four easy steps without distling the gas ifolds, or pulling of the compressor wheels.
- The T- VTR series is modular type of design, which ensures the turbine baldes, nozzle rings, comperssor wheels and diffusers with various casing configurations to be optimum matched with all engine types.
- Optimum engine perforce in part-load operation
- Connectors on the compressor side allow water cleaning during operation
- The T- VTR series turbochargers are widely used in marine propulsion engines, especially at part load, and in stationary power plants, on units burning heavy oil and in continuous operation.

The functions for turbocharger seals:
The sealing devices of the exhaust gas turbocharger is divided into two types: gas seal and oil seal. A good sealing device is an indispensable part of the normal and reliable operation of the exhaust gas turbocharger. The sealing device is divided into three types according to the structure: contact type, piston ring type and labyrinth type. Piston ring seals are commonly used in small boosters as an oil seal. There are y types of labyrinth seals, axial and radial labyrinth seal for the turbocharger used as a gas seal. The smaller the gap between the gas seal sheets, the better the sealing effect. When a pressurized air is introduced from the compressor end to the gas seal, the sealing effect is enhanced.
